Heat Ebossing

I finally tried Heat Embossing.... it was actually Very Simple...Except i burnt my finger, a piece of scrap paper, and well that table cloth is plastic coated, i sort of shrunk it in places... but it was worth the outcome!

This is the paper before I did anything with it!

I used a simple little snowflake stamp, and clear embosing ink.. along with a sparkly white embossing powder. This is the after picture!

And finally this picture shows the papers side by side. I like the way it turned ou!

This is the project I used it for... just some Deco Squares for a swap!

So sorry, i didn't bog at all last week, and i am a day behind now... but all my projects last week, were gifts for other people... and I didn't want to post em adn ruin the surprise.... I will be posting them this week sometime... one will ruin the surprise, but it's ok... I made a Diaper cake, and i had my first try at Glass Etching! I will be doing a LOT more etching... it's fun and simple, adn the outcome is elegant... I will also be blogging about my experience with heat embossing!! I tried lots of new things last week, just ned to sit adn write em all up!

My Glittered Christmas Balls!

Hello, Hello ! Some more pictures of Christmas Balls I made. These were done with Alcohol Inks, Fine Glitters, and some rub ons.... There is a video on youtbe, the woman uses re inkers...but i didn't have them. Plus they were usuing Martha Stewart glitter, I used $1 store glitter.... I don't pay the Martha prices for glitter, unless of course there is a color she has that i can't find. I like the way mine turned out! I will be trying another technique on some more balls later. But I wanted to share this before it got too far past Christmas, and I forgot all about it.

Canon PowerShot SX20 IS

I got a nice new camera for Christmas. The last time I gota new camera I was told it was my last one... Norm was tired of replacing my camera, because i left them were little fingers could touch them. Well I took really good care of the last one, and I was nicely rewarded. I had originally wanted a different camera, but this on has the same features as the one i wanted, PLUS Norm picked it all out on his own, that is always a plus! This has a 20X zoom, wich is twice what i had before, and all sorts of settings that I need to learn how to use. The only bad thing is the user's manual, it SUCKS.... but i will research online, and luckily a friend got the same camera, so hopefully she can help me learn!!

Sony Reader

Well, one of the great gifts my husband got me for Christmas is the Sony Reader, pocket version.... I LOVE it. I love to read, and when going on a trip, i never seem to pack enough books... this way i can pack 1 thing, and have hundreds of books if i please! Plus i can get most Ebooks for only $9.99....

I am currently reading The Lovely Bones, by Alice Sebold.

It is an amazing book. Yes it's sad, but it is very well written!

I can NOT wait to see the movie, but wanted to read the book first!

I will be downloading PUSH, next. Again I want to see the Movie Precious, but i want to

read the book first!!

LOOONG Time NO BLOG!

WOW! It's been MONTHS since I got to blogging....I must say it's been quite an adjustment to go from 1 kid in school, to all 3..... you would think i'd have the days to myself... but they hours just seem to escape me. I've made cards, and some christmas balls.... We've had a snow storm...and wonderfull Christmas.... Here are some pictures of the balls we did with swirling paint.... these were used as gifts for teachers.... I will post later the balls i did with glitter!
