Glass Etching

I decided to try my hand at glass etching! Since I went a lil nuts buying clear glass ornaments for a project, i did my first etching project on one as well. A monogramed ball for my Aunt & Uncle. I used my cricut and some vinyle to make my won stencil. The hard part was getting a flat piece of sticky vinyl to lay flat on a round ball! Patience was a HUGE help! Once I was done fighting with the vinyl, i brushed on a semi thinck layer of etching creme. The bottle said 15 minutes, I left it on for 30 minutes, and next tiem will let it ssit even longer.

After peeling off the vinyl, i just rinsed the cream off. and this is my finished result. Now this was a VERY difficult item to get a decent photograph of. This was the best I could do.
